| evan frankfort grew up in L.A. around the corner from his grandparents. his grandmother was a concert violinist with perfect pitch and his grandfather was pioneer radio DJ ken niles, who could do anything really well at first attempt. while evan’s grandfather believed the more you know about something the less you can enjoy it, his grandmother believed that when you really connect with it, your enjoyment will be deeper with more knowledge. that background shaped evan into a pop fan who needed immediate payoff and lasting interest. nearing would work's 10-year anniversary, evan has worked on more than 120 records and 100 tv/film projects.
evan owns his own publishing and has had his songs featured in over 75 different projects. he recently had his songs featured in: C.S.I., smallville, ghost whisperer, one tree hill, scrubs, queer as folk, and many independent feature film releases. he has been awarded a daytime emmy for his music contributions to a dramatic series, as well as a platinum record for mixing orson's bright idea.
evan is currently composing the new CBS drama swingtown with liz phair and marc "doc" dauer. |
